At the beginning of February I was given the opportunity to help promote the FA and McDonald's community awards for 2017. This is where the public get to vote for their grass routes heroes, the people who cut the grass, make the tea's, coach the kids and sweep the changing rooms. Any player has gone through a grass routes club at some point or another so this was about showing our appreciation for theses people. It was made extra fun for myself as I got to work alongside my child hood heroes, Ryan Giggs, Martin Keown and Sir Geoff Hurst. As well as a true legend of the Women's game Casey Stoney and Spurs and England International Kyle Walker. We visited some clubs, got stuck into some volunteering and did a few radio interviews as well as meeting some of the winners of last years awards. Truly brilliant few days!!
