I've only recently started to do after dinner speeches and they don't come much bigger or better than representing the charity which helped save my life. Headway. This event was called a "An evening with Peter Ridsdale" who brilliant shared his wealth of experience in being a Chairman of various Professional football clubs.
I also took to the mic to once again share my story of how a serious brain injury ended my career in professional football but then managed to recover to represent my country in disability football. The event went really well and we even managed to raise over £9000 for the charity as well as having a fantastic night. I hope to continue to do more after dinner functions so please get in contact if you wish me to come along!
